Breakfast With Some Lions And A Bunny

This weekend, you can have grub with the Medway Lions and get a picture with the Easter Bunny, enjoy a princess coronation or cheer on some elite runners.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you or your kids will do for the weekend. Patch is coming to the rescue. We’ve got the best bets for your "done-work-outta-here" time and a few picks for the kids as well.


1.

WHERE/WHEN: (770 Washington Street, Holliston; 508-429-5200) — Friday, 8 to 11 p.m.

WHY GO: Mitchell Nollman and Ray Krome have teamed up to perform acoustic covers in the Metro West area.

with clinical psychologist Dr. Robert Brooks

WHERE/WHEN: (370 Hollis St., Holliston; 508-429-0677) — Thursday, 7 to 9 p.m.

WHY GO: Author and internationally recognized clinical psychologist Robert Brooks, Ph.D, will discuss parenting styles and techniques for raising resilient, motivated, respectful children.

Get there early, his last visit was standing room only.

WHERE/WHEN: Flagg Building (100 Linden St., Holliston) — Wednesday, 10 to 11:30 a.m.

WHY GO: Your little princess or prince will enjoy "tea" and learn basic table manners and introductions. They will be provided the use of a cape pink or silver and a crown. Parents are welcome to stay or drop off! Registration required!

PRICING: $27

WHERE/WHEN: Medway High School (88 Summer St., Medway; 508-533-3227); Sunday at 8 a.m.

WHY GO: There will be all-you-can-eat -pancakes, scrambled eggs, bacon, ham, baked beans, fruit and Joe's famous quiche. The event will also feature raffle prizes, a coloring contest, and a 50/50 draw. Plus, as if that wasn't enough, the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance. A professional photographer will be available to take pictures with the Bunny.

PRICING: $7 for adults and $5 for senior citizens and children age 10 and under, payable at the door.


5. The Boston Marathhon

WHERE/WHEN: Anywhere along route from Hopkinton to Holliston — Monday, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

WHY GO: This is a great day to get out and pass the orange slices with the kids, high-five some weary runners, cheer on the mass of athletes who will run through on their way to the finish line. Many businesses will be open, like Morse's Tavern in Natick and (358 Waverly St., Framingham; 508-879-1138) in Framingham. Other restaurants along the way will be offering music and  good eats all day.
