Hopkinton Candidates: Send Your Statement, Photo to Patch

The Hopkinton Patch invites all candidates for elected office in town to tell us why you're running and anything else you would like voters to know. Send a photo too! Multiple statements OK!

The Hopkinton Town Election is Monday, May 16.  The ballot is printed on the Hopkinton Town website and will accompany any candidate statements.

Many of the offices in town government are unopposed. But even in those positions, people would love to hear from the candidates, personally and unfiltered, why they're running, what type of public service they've performed in the past, and who they are.

These first-person profiles will be the way you want to tell them. Don't forget a photo!

All candidate statements will have the banner "Candidate for Hopkinton Town Government."

Don't have a photo? We'll take one. Don't feel comfortable writing? We can help with that too. Gene.cassidy@patch.com for your profiles or any questions. Thanks!

One more thing: There is one question on the ballot, on whether the Town Clerk should change from an elected job to an appointment by the Town Manager. The Hopkinton Patch also welcomes any Hopkinton resident's thoughts on that change.

Opinions for or against the change will have an "Opinion" label.

As always, the Patch welcomes letters to the editor with Hopkinton residents' opinions on politics or anything else. Same email address as above.

Thanks again!
