Relay for Life Looks for Volunteer Teams

Organizers for the Holliston/Ashland relay for life are looking for walkers for the June 9 event.

Teams from Ashland and Holliston will begin an around the clock relay at Ashland Middle School at noon on June 9 to raise support for cancer research.

"Many of the participants are cancer survivors, which serves as a reminder that our community is not immune to this disease and that by participating in Relay, we are joining with the American Cancer Society’s efforts to create a world with less cancer and more birthdays,” Denise Landry-Horowitz, an organizer of the Ashland/Holliston Relay for Life, said in a press release.

Relay for Life's coordinators are currently searching for teams to volunteer to participate in the event and fund-raise in the weeks leading up to the relay.
