Should We Use Drones to Spy on Americans? [POLL]

Unmanned aircraft could soon be monitoring Americans.

President Obama recently signed the FAA Modernization and Reform Act of 2012, a law that requires new rules for allowing unmanned drones to operate in American airspace, according to Public Radio International.

"Supporters of the measures think new fleets of drones will soon be able to assist in crime prevention, surveillance and other non-military purposes. Drones are already used to patrol the U.S.-Mexican border. But critics of the new measures fear drone imaging technology will erode personal privacy," the article said.

The ACLU has petitioned the FAA to consider the potential breeches in privacy that drones could create through the use of heat-detection and video surveillance, the report said.
