Water Ban Announced by Holliston Officials

All "non-essential" uses of water will be banned starting May 1.

Amid an exceptionally dry Spring, Holliston officials announced a ban on all non-essential uses of outdoor water starting May 1, according to a release from the Holliston Water Department.

The ban restricts residents from using water to wash cars, clean the exterior of homes, and water lawns using sprinklers or automatic systems between the hours of 9 a.m. and 5 p.m.

Homeowners with odd numbered house addresses are allowed to water their lawns on Wednesday and Friday outside the restricted 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. hours. Even numbered houses are permitted lawn watering on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
