The Milford Performing Arts Center, the area’s only family arts community, presents Bye, Bye Birdie, the popular musical that brought rock 'n roll to Broadway! Set in the 1950′s, America’s teenagers are crazy for rock star Conrad Birdie. When he is drafted, a publicity stunt is staged in which Conrad is to kiss a lucky fan live on national TV before he leaves for the Army. Kim from Ohio is the lucky girl, much to the chagrin of her boyfriend Hugo. Things turn out alright as this musical becomes the tops in imagination and good old-fashioned fun.
Performances will happen at the Davoren Auditorium at Milford High School, 31 West Fountain Street, Milford, on Friday, June 20, at 7:30 PM, Saturday, June 21 at 2:00 PM and 7:30 PM, and Sunday, June 22, 2013 at 2:00 PM.
