Stein Hoisting Competition Comes to Westborough

Westborough, MA –Start flexing your muscles
now, because this upcoming Saturday, September 21st, they will be
needed in order to demonstrate your strength at Julio’s Liquors’ Stein Hoisting
Competition. Following the tradition of Oktoberfest, participants will go
head-to-head to see who can hold a beer stein filled with water at arm’s length
for the longest. This event is free to all, and the winner will be granted
admission to the stein hoisting finals at Boston Brewery, home of Samuel Adams
beer. 

This
event, sponsored by Samuel Adams, is the perfect way to ring in the fall and
celebrate Oktoberfest, which officially begins on September 21st.
Oktoberfest is the world’s largest fair, held annually in Germany, though these
beer-centric celebrations have gained popularity around the world.

The
winners of the men’s and women’s divisions at Julio’s Liquors will be invited
to the exclusive New England Stein Hoisting Championship at the Samuel Adams
Boston Brewery on October 29th. At this invite-only event, the
overall championship winner will be awarded a trip to next year’s Oktoberfest
festival in Munich, Germany.

The
event will be held from 1pm to 3pm at Julio’s Liquors on Route 9 in
