Holliston Newcomers Club

The Holliston Newcomers Club
recently launched its new term when they held their first Board Meeting of the
2012 – 2013 season.  The Newcomers Club is open to all residents and will
be hosting their annual Activities Fair at the Historical Society Barn this
Sunday September 9th from 2 pm to 5 pm.   The Activities
Fair is the clubs version of an open house to showcase all of the events and
wonderful things we take part in.  All are welcome to stop in !
Light snacks and refreshments will be available.  Bring the kids as we
will have a Bounce House, Face Painting, and Raffles.  Admission is
free.  Also visit us online at www.hollistonnewcomers.org

Fund-raising

An integral part of the
Club is fundraising.  Our three main fundraisers are:

2012 Craft Fair: This is our 36th year!  The Craft Fair
will take place on Sunday November 18th at the Holliston High
School.  This is our main fundraiser; we depend on our members to help in
its success by encouraging only one or two hours of their time during this busy
event.

2013 Spring Fundraiser   Each spring, HNC runs a spring fundraiser
to further help support grant giving back to our community.  Starting in
2011, we established our Annual 10K Spring Road Race. The race will be held
during May 2013.  Look for more information on our web site.

2013
Touch-a-Truck
This
is fun for the whole family.  Kids of all ages get to explore, touch and
sit in the seats of some of the most interesting trucks, tractors, cars, buses,
bulldozers, etc.  Typically held in June at Sam Placentino Elementary
School.
