Children Still Need Help this Holiday Season

Names of local children in need of holiday gifts can be found at the Heart Tree at the Hopkinton Public Library.

The "Project Just Because Heart Tree" still has hearts on it, each heart representing a local child in need this holiday season.

Residents are asked to select a heart from the tree and purchase whatever item is noted on the heart. The gifts are then due back to Project Just Because by Dec. 12.

Here are the official guidelines for choosing a heart/child:

1. Select a heart from the tree.

2. Using the form on the clipboard (beside the tree), fill out the info requested.

3. Purchase whatever item(s) you can from the heart. The parents fill out the hearts as best they can with the child's needs/wishes.

4. When finished, attach the heart to the unwrapped* gifts or write the heart number (from the back of the heart) on your bag to ensure the right gifts go to the right family.

5. Deliver the unwrapped* gifts to 86 South Street, Hopkinton, Monday through Thursday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. BEFORE Dec. 12.

*PJB asks for unwrapped gifts because parents enjoying wrapping them. Donations of wrapping paper are also appreciated.
