Holiday Primer: Events in Holliston and Hopkinton

Here is a list of events for the 2013 holiday season. Did we miss anything?

Here is a list of this year's holiday events including christmas tree sales, on-going events, etc.

Monday, Dec. 16

9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Project Just Because Sponsor Hearts due back to Project Just Because, 86 Main Street, Hopkinton. Children's names are still available at Hopkinton Town Hall. 

1 p.m., Hopkinton Senior Center. Christmas movie: "White Christmas" with Bing Crosby and Rosemary Clooney.

3:30 p.m., Storytime with Santa and Mrs. K., Hopkinton Public Library. All children should have their wish list ready to tell Santa, and parents should have cameras ready.

4:30 p.m., Carbone's, Fatima Shrine and Medway Christmas Lights. Hopkinton Senior Bus Trip. Cost $7.00.

Tuesday, Dec. 17

1 p.m., Hopkinton Senior Center. Christmas movie: "Bells of St. Mary's" with Bing Crosby and Ingrid Bergman.

Wednesday, Dec. 18

1 p.m., Hopkinton Senior Center. Christmas movie: "The Homecoming" with The Waltons.

Thursday, Dec. 19

1 p.m., Hopkinton Senior Center. Christmas movie: "Holiday Inn" with Bing Crosby and Fred Astaire.

Friday, Dec. 20


1 p.m., Hopkinton Senior Center. Christmas movie: "It's a Wonderful Life" with Jimmy Stewart. Your choice of color or black & white. 

4 p.m., Hopkinton Public Library. Give the Gift of Reading. Through Dec. 20, donate new books at the Hopkinton Public Library and these books will be included in Project Just Because's children's holiday packages. 

6:30 p.m., St. Paul’s Episcopal Church, 61 Wood Street (Rte 135), Hopkinton. Blue Christmas Service. Public welcome.  

Tuesday, Dec. 24 -- Christmas Eve

7 p.m., St. Paul's Episcopal Church, Hopkinton. This will be the final service celebrated by Fr. Mike. 

Wednesday, Dec. 25 -- Merry Christmas, Everyone! 


ON-GOING HOLIDAY EVENTS 

Now through Dec. 14, you can drop off your Toys for Tots at the Holliston or Hopkinton police stations (or in any other box around town). 

Through Jan. 8, 2014, Christmas lights at Fatima Shrine, 101 Summer Street, Holliston, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. 

Christmas Tree Sales:

  • Holliston -- Parking lot next to the Depot Liquor, sponsored by Holliston High School PTSA. Open other nights by contacting dhwaddell@gmail.comThursdays and Fridays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.Saturdays and Sundays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.  
  • Hopkinton -- Tree lot behind Colella's, sponsored by Boy Scout Troop 1. Wednesdays from 6 p.m to 8 p.m.Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.Fridays from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m.Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.Sundays, from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
