Where Can You Volunteer for Thanksgiving in Holliston and Hopkinton

HOLLISTON
The Holliston Pantry Shelf is in need of food items, monetary donations, and volunteer hours this holiday season.
Food Items. All food items are welcome and accepted since the Pantry owns refrigerators and freezers, it accepts perishables. Items most needed right now include:
- Peanut Butter
- Canned Meat (chicken,turkey,tuna)
- Pasta Sauce
- Soup
- Snacks
- Paper Towels
- Toilet Tissue
- Vegetables and Fruits
Monetary donations can be dropped off at the Pantry or mailed to PO Box 6662, Holliston, MA 01746. Donations can also be made by PayPal and Network for Good.
Volunteer. Volunteers are needed for weekly shifts during regular hours of operation, or people can become a member of the Food Crew, or become a driver to pick up groceries or be a Pantry Pal. For more information, contact hollistonpantryshelf@yahoo.com
HOPKINTON
Project Just Because of Hopkinton could definitely use your help this holiday season.
Donated Items. PJB is in desperate need of twin-sized blankets and warm winter coats, among their usual items. Their current wish list includes:
- Twin Blankets
- Kids Winter Clothing, boys and girls 3T- 12
- Sweatpants (elastic waist) for sizes Men's small, Men's Medium and Ladies S-XL - for a few family members we help who struggle with buttons and zippers.
- Kids Underwear (has to be NEW) boys and girls, Sizes 6-14
- Baby Lotion, Baby Wash, Diaper Cream
- Shampoo and Conditioner
- Toothbrushes and Toothpaste
- Gift Certificates for necessities such as food, drugstore items, clothing, shoes and bedding
- Toiletry Items: (New Please!) such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, floss, band-aids, hair brushes, combs, q-tips, disposable razors, shaving cream, deodorant, cotton balls, soap (liquid body wash or bar), shampoo & conditioner, hand lotions, make-up for women using our career center, bathroom tissue, Kleenex, etc.
- Baby Supplies: (New Please!) all new baby items, such as diapers (all sizes), baby food & formula, sun block, baby powder and lotion, etc.
- Clothing: New Only (for health reasons) - underwear, socks & pajamas, footwear. Used, but in near perfect condition - shirts, pants, dresses, coats, etc.
- School Items: (New Please!) all school supplies including pens, pencils & notebooks, school snacks for children's backpacks (school supplies for all ages are always appreciated year-round)
- Educational Items: a new book or educational software for children in pre-school to high school
- Bedding: (New Please!) blankets, comforters, sheets, towels (any size)
- Cleaning Supplies: (New Please!) laundry detergent, paper towels, sponges, cleaning supplies, dish soap
- Household Items: kitchen items (small), flashlights & new batteries, candles & candle holders, handled shopping bags for families to carry items home
- Staple Goods for emergency food Baskets Of Love – all staple goods welcome
- Large Clean Baskets: good condition please for Baskets Of Love program
- New Toys & New Stuffed Animals (New ONLY Please!) for Hospital & Special Programs. These items must be new as they are given out as gifts through our Holiday and Birthday Program and to protect the childrens’ health.
