Dorothy L. (Davis) Sprague, 89, of Milford died Sunday, Dec. 1, 2013 in the Genesis Healthcare Milford Center, Milford. She was the wife, for 46 years, of the late Edwin G. Sprague who died in 1995.

Mrs. Sprague was employed for many years as an assembler for the Valpey Fisher Co. in Hopkinton.

She was born Jan. 30, 1924 in Milford, daughter of the late Orrin J. Davis, Sr. and Adaline F. (Tourjee) Davis. She was a graduate of Milford High School, Class of 1942.

Mrs. Sprague enjoyed reading and playing cards.

She is survived by two sons, Jeffrey A. Sprague of Essex, VT and Brian K. and his wife Linda Sprague of Milford; a step-son Mark H. Turner of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; two daughters, Cheryl F. and her husband Thomas Barsanti, Sr. of Medway and Lisa J. DeCastro of Milford; 8 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her siblings, Robert W. Davis, Orrin J. Davis, Jr., George W. Davis, Charles R. Davis, Marjorie Stoico, Frances Wine, Susan Estella Ray, Grace Civinini, Florence Canon, Helen Stevenson, and Eleanor Maher.

The family would like to thank the staff of Genesis Healthcare Milford Center for the wonderful care they gave to Dorothy.

Visiting hours will be Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013, from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. in the Buma-Sargeant Funeral Home, 42 Congress St., Milford. Funeral services will be held Saturday, Dec. 7, 2013 at 10 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Vernon Grove Cemetery, Vernon St., Milford.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association , Boston MA Office, 10 Speen Street, 2nd Floor, Framingham, MA 07101.
