Leonard Levasseur Died at 79

The Korean war vet was an active member of St. Mary's Church.

Leonard Albert Levasseur Sr., 79, died at his home October 10. Born in Fall River, he was a graduate of Bradford Durfee College of Technology (now UMass Dartmouth) and Northeastern University. He was an Army veteran of the Korean War, and worked at US Army Labs of Natick for 33 years.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ann, 5 sons and seven grandchildren. He was an active parishoner of St. Mary's in Holliston, volunteering in several capacities, including serving as first president of the parish council.

Arrangements are being handled by Chesmore Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. on Monday, October 15, at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial gifts be sent to St. Mary’s Parish Fund, Kid-Start, Inc., or the Danforth Museum of Art, Framingham, MA.
