Michael E. Curnyn, 67, Served on Holliston Fire Department for 46 Years

Michael E. Curnyn, 67, of Holliston, passed away Thursday, November 21, 2013 at his home surrounded by his family. Born in Framingham, he was the son of the late Alice (Bartrum) and William Curnyn. He was the husband of Carole (Norton) Curnyn of Holliston.

A lifelong Holliston resident, Mike was a 1964 graduate of Holliston High School. He was the Captain of Engine 3 on the Holliston Fire Department on which he served for 46 years and was the owner and operator of Michael E. Curnyn Trucking. He was a lifelong member of the Maspenock Rod and Gun Club as well as a member of the NRA and the Holliston Sportsman Club.

Besides his wife, he is survived by two daughters, Michelle Tompkins and her husband Jeffrey of Holliston and Christine Moloney and her husband Edward of Holliston; a sister, Patricia Pereira of Holliston and four grandchildren, Austin, Abbie, and Tucker Moloney and Makayla Vittori. 

Arrangements

Visitation will be held on Monday, Nov. 25, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Chesmore Funeral Home of Holliston, 854 Washington Street. A funeral mass will take place at 11:00a.m. on Tuesday at St. Mary’s Church of Holliston. Burial will follow in Lake Grove Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory can be made to Friends of the Holliston Fire Department, 59 Central Street Holliston, MA 01746.
