The Rev. William Martin MacKenzie 73, of Rochester, New Hampshire, died Dec. 12, 2013, in St. Ann's Rehabilitation Center in Dover, New Hampshire.

Born in Somerville, Feb. 6, 1940, the son of the late William A. and Marian A. (Corbin) MacKenzie, Father MacKenzie was raised in Medford. He was a graduate of Matignon High School and St. John's Seminary. Father MacKenzie was ordained a priest in 1966.

He had served in the following parishes during his life including St. John Church in Hopkinton and St. Joseph Church in Medway. Father MacKenzie retired to New Hampshire in 2001.  

His funeral Mass will be celebrated on Wednesday, Dec. 18, in St. Joseph Church, Village Street, Medway, at 11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Joseph Cemetery, Medway. Calling hours will be today (Dec. 16) from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home, 3 Barber Street, Medway from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. He will lie in state in St. Joseph's Church on Tuesday, Dec. 17, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made in his memory to the Marian A. MacKenzie and Rev. William M. MacKenzie Scholarship Fund c/o St. Joseph Church, PO Box 557, Medway, MA 02053.
