Robert "Bob" Seiler, 91, of Holliston

Robert was a man of honor with simple tastes, a great sense of humor, and loyal friend.

Robert E. Seiler of Holliston, 91, passed away peacefully on Dec. 3, 2013 at Timothy Daniels House in Holliston.

In World War II, Bob served as a forward observer, and is a past member of VFW Post 2619 in Roseland, NJ and the US Coast Guard Auxiliary.

Raised in Irvington, NJ, after his discharge from the Army he married his wife Eleanor and worked for the Public Service Bus Company before starting his own business installing storm doors and windows, then moved and raised his family in Roseland, NJ.

Upon retirement, Bob built a home in Greentown, PA and lived there until 7 years ago when relocating to MA. Robert was a man of honor with simple tastes, a great sense of humor, and loyal friend. He loved his family and will be held in our memories forever.

He was predeceased by his parents, Martin and Clara, his brothers, William and Kenneth, sisters, Viola, Edith, Lily and Dorothea, and son-in-law, Eugene Rubin. He is survived by his wife, Eleanor nee Bachman, his sister and brother-in-law, Marion and William Diener, his son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Marianne Seiler, daughter and son-in-law, Jill and John Moon, daughter, Sandra Rubin, grandson, Robert Seiler, granddaughter, Danielle Seiler, grandson, Evan Moon and granddaughter, Cameron Moon.

Committal will be private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to NEADS Canines for Combat Veterans Program, P. O. Box 213, West Boylston, MA 01583 or Massachusetts Eye & Ear Infirmary, 243 Charles Street, Boston, MA 02114. The Roberts-Mitchell Funeral Service of Medfield assisted the Seiler Family with arrangements.
