Depot Package Store is Our Pick of the Week

Here is a look at what's happening in and around Holliston on Facebook.

Here at Holliston Patch, we love to use social media to complement our work  and activity on this page. Our Twitter and Facebook pages are tools  that help us interact with and engage you, our readers.

Social Media Saturday is a weekly feature where Holliston Patch highlights some of what people shared on Facebook and other media in the past week.

We'll also point you to some new and interesting  pages you may not have known about before, and of course we'll name our social media page of the week; a rare honor, indeed! If you would like a mention in this column email Faith594@msn.com and tell us why we should include your page. We choose based on the pop of the page, the number of likes and the quality of your wall. We love to know about new pages, so be sure to give us a holler for inclusion.

Highlights of the Week

Holliston Patch currently has 407 followers on Facebook; a proud feat. Tell your friends to give us a click. We also have a presence on Twitter. We are @HollistonPatch. If you follow us, we'll follow you back; we're kind that way.

Social Media Page of the Week

Our social media page of the week came to us unsolicited this week. With so many local companies clamoring for this honor, we had to scour Facebook in search of a page that pops with a lot of fascinating photos, a fair number of likes and a happening wall. This week's social media pick of the week goes to...drum roll, please Depot Package Store; after all, it is New Year's Eve. With 178 likes, a very cool group of pictures and a deal offering the ultimate holiday gift - only one bottle available - we thought they were an appropriate pick this week. Check them out.

Your Town on Social Media

The Stop Bullard Farm Power Plant group posted that there is a planning board meeting on Jan. 5 at 7 p.m. Make sure to come and have your voice heard on this subject.

We also shared a list of New Year's Eve events to help make your planning easier, a story about a resident trapped in the car after a crash on Norfolk St., and we named the new Council on Aging Chairperson.

We are thankful to Matt Putvinski for sharing photos after the wind storm. If you have photos to share, be sure to add them to the neighborhood gallery on the Patch site.

Now, we want to take a minute to thank you for sharing our social media world this year and to wish you a Happy New Year; here's to many more social media posts from us to you!
