Poll: Should Scott Brown Take Money From Yankees President?

After running pro-Red Sox ads, a donation to Scott Brown's senate campaign surfaces from New York Yankee's president.

Politics is a rough game that is not for the weak of heart. As it turns out, it's probably not a great game for sports fans either.

This morning the Boston Herald reported that U.S. Senator and incumbent Scott Brown took a campaign donation from Randy Levine, the president of the evil empire.

"It’s one thing to be bipartisan, Senator, but this is taking it a little too far. There’s no compromising in baseball," the article said.

If you've been listening to the radio lately you may have heard Brown's latest spot that not only praises Fenway Park, but also ends with the phrase "Go Red Sox."

Do you think it's okay for Brown to be supporting the Sox and taking money from the president of the Yankees. Does the biggest rivalry in sports roll over in to politics as well? Take our poll and share your feelings in the comments.

After the performance we witnessed from the local nine last September , I'd actually have an issue if he took money from the Red Sox.

If people think Elizabeth Warren isn't taking money from anywhere and everywhere, they they do not understand what it is to be a Democrat. Brown is an underdog, and he would be a fool to turn his nose up at any money, when his opponent has a war chest 3 times larger.

Dumb question, there is no crying in baseball!

Brown is the incumbent. But I certainly agree that RECEIVING (I like that better than "taking") money from a lot of different sources is a bi-partisan habit. And though it's tangential to the article (but very clear from the accompanying picture), I'll say again what I tried to post a while ago: Brown certainly does photograph well.

Brown shirt Scott has been and always will be a empty shirt. He is pretty but he was the dumbest student at Tufts according to his long term roomate. He has certainly not shown us anything but his nose up some rich man's pocketbopok and he votes for them and against Mass. everytime he has an opportunity. This is should help him diminish his Lead, Mr Ford, he is leading or even in most polls. You can fool some of the people All of the Time.
