Fire Log: Injured Cyclist Airlifted for Treatment

Fire personnel responded to a report of an injured cyclist, who was airlifted by MedFlight helicopters.

Friday, April 13 

10:14 a.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Cottage Drive. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

10:20 a.m.: A backup ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Summer Street. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

11:24 p.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. A Millville resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

Saturday, April 14

8:26 a.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Norfolk Street. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

1:24 p.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Regal Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

2:21 p.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Locust Street. A resident was transported to Brigham and Women’s Hospital. 

6:05 p.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Regal Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham. 

 

Sunday, April 15 

5:07 a.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Cranberry Lane. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

3:25 p.m.: Weekend Duty Officers Captain John Murphy and Lieutenant Sean Irr investigated illegal burning on Beverly Circle.  The resident was advised of the Open Burning Regulations, and the Extreme Fire Weather Conditions. 

3:33 p.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Hollis Street. The individual refused transport and a signed waiver was obtained.

6:45 p.m.: Weekend Duty Officers Captain John Murphy and Lieutenant Sean Irr investigated illegal burning on Beverly Circle.  The pile of brush was extinguished by Forest Fire 1. 

8:16 p.m.: Chief Cassidy , Deputy Jim Moore, Weekend Duty Officers Captain John Murphy and Lieutenant Sean Irr, Ladder 1 and Engines 1 and 3 responded to a chimney fire on Norfolk Street.

 

Monday, April 16

8:26 a.m.: Chief Cassidy , an ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to Winter Street for an injured bicyclist. A resident was transported to a landing zone at the Warren Conference Center in Ashland, which was secured by Engine 2.  Care of the patient was transferred to Boston MedFlight 2 for transport to Children’s Hospital Boston. 

1:42 p.m.: Tanker 2 responded mutual aid to Milford for a brush fire off Eben Street. 

 

Tuesday, April 17 

7:08 a.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Beatrice Lane. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

4:12 p.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Ashland Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Natick.

4:25 p.m.: Chief Cassidy  investigated a report of smoke in the area of Adams Street. 

7:50 p.m.: Deputy Chief Jim Moore investigated a cooking fire on Central Street.  The residents were advised of the Red Flag Warning issued by the National Weather Service.

 

Wednesday, April 18 

3:25 p.m.: Chief Cassidy investigated an alarm activation on Mellen Street. 

7:48 p.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on North Mill Street. The individual refused transport and a signed waiver was obtained.

 

Thursday, April 19

4:17 a.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham. 

10:06 a.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Washington Street. An Uxbridge resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

2:18 p.m.: Chief Michael investigated a report of smoke in the area of Dunster Road.

5:03 p.m.: An ambulance responded to a medical emergency on Elm Street. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham. 

7:28 p.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Events EMS responded to a medical emergency on Pope Road. A resident was transported to Milford Regional Medical Center.

8:58 p.m.: An ambulance and paramedics from Ashland Fire responded to a medical emergency on Mitchell Road. A resident was transported to MetroWest Medical Center, Framingham.

9:18 p.m.: Chief Cassidy investigated alarm trouble on Bartzak Drive.
