Fourth of July Disturbances, State Park Parking Causes Traffic Backup

Wednesday, July 3

12:10 p.m.: A caller reported two pitbulls attempting to get in their house on Hazel Road.

9:57 p.m.: An officer checked a group of people on Sandy Beach.

Thursday, July 4

7:03 a.m.: Officers assisted with parking issues at the Hopkinton State Park and on Cedar Street.

9:31 a.m.: A caller reported a group of youths shooting off fireworks in a parking lot on West Main Street.

11:18 a.m.: An officer removed previously detonated fireworks from Teresa Road.

3:28 p.m.: A caller from Pond Street reported a group of people having a bonfire and swimming in Lake Whitehall. The gathering had dispersed when an officer arrived.

7:54 p.m.: A caller from South Mill Street reported a loose Rottweiler on his property.

11:22 p.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash on Main Street. Kristin E. Daly, 41, of 13 Pullard Rd., Apt. 49, Grafton was arrested and charged with drunken-driving.

Friday, July 5

7:03 a.m.: A caller from Appaloosa Circle reported a suspicious vehicle that sped away when seen.

12:36 p.m.: A caller reported several pieces of landscape equipment stolen from Phipps Street.

Saturday, July 6

3:59 p.m.: A caller from Eastview Road reported several cab drivers were after him. Officers responded and spoke to the caller.

Sunday, July 7

12:09 a.m.: Officers removed a bat from a house on Chadwick Way.

1:55 a.m.: A 911 caller from Hayden Rowe Street reported that their deck was on fire. The Hopkinton Fire Department responded and assisted.

3:13 a.m.: A caller from Valentine Circle reported a youth who was on drugs and combative. The youth and caller were both transported to the hospital.
