Gas Nozzle Found in Roadway, Milford Man Arrested

Thursday, Feb. 21

12:27 a.m.: Officers responded with the Hopkinton Fire Department to a report of natural gas in a laundry room on Hayward Street.

1:32 p.m.: An officer responded to a two-car crash on West Main Street. The fire department responded to evaluate the passengers including several children. No injuries were reported.

3:02 p.m.: A caller from a bank on Main Street reported a possibly injured pitbull in their lobby.

Friday, Feb. 22

8:32 a.m.: A caller from a business on Wood Street reported a person threatened her business over the phone.

11:32 p.m.: A caller reported a gas pump nozzle and hose in the roadway on Hayden Rowe Street. The Hopkinton Police Department responded.

11:47 p.m.: Officers responded to a report of a vehicle in the gully near Weston Nurseries. Mark E. Holtsbery, 26, of 351 Purchase St., Milford was arrested. Holtsbery was charged with marked lanes violation, negligent operation and second offense drunk driving after reportedly hitting a guard rail and a sign before going off the road.

Saturday, Feb. 23

3:35 p.m.: An officer stopped an erratic driver on Elm Street. The driver was a newly permitted learner. The driver’s parent switched seats and drove the vehicle until the learner had more practice.

Sunday, Feb. 24

1:58 a.m.: The Animal Control Officer responded to a report of a raccoon scratching at a door on Lincoln Street.
