An argument between an elderly Holliston couple became physical and led to an alleged attempted strangulation on Sunday night, according to Police Chief John Moore.
A 411 operator called Holliston when a Gorwin Drive woman mistakenly called the directory service instead of 911 during the dispute, Moore said.

Officers arrested Thomas Vaccaro, an 84 year-old from 353 Gorwin Dr. in Holliston and charged him with attempted murder and assault and battery on a person older than 60.
"The evidence and the statements led us to believe a strangulation was attempted," Moore said.
