Holliston Police Log: Drugs at School, Attempted Break-In

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan. 4

5:40 a.m.: Officers responded to an alarm in the D corridor of Adams Middle School. Officers determined it was a false alarm.

6:09 a.m.: An officer assisted a bus driver who had locked the keys inside a bus at the bus lot in town.

7:52 a.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash at the Holliston Post Office. One vehicle was towed but no injuries were reported.

9:07 a.m.: An officer responded to a report of a student with marijuana at Holliston High School. Todd J. Kennedy, 18, of 5 Cassandra Ln., was arrested and charged with a drug violation near a school and possession of a class D substance with intent to distribute.

4:08 p.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash near Marked Tree Road. No injuries were reported.

6:18 p.m.: officers responded to a family problem on Morgans Way. Both the male and female involved were spoken to.

8:30 p.m.: A construction worker on Fisher Street requested extra checks of a property after people were seen in the woods with flashlights.

8:58 p.m.: A caller from Washington Street reported money and a handicap placard had been stolen from her motor vehicle.

Saturday, Jan. 5

2:11 a.m.: An officer sent an occupied motor vehicle away from the High School during a property check.

2:31 a.m.: A caller reported that they had hit a deer on Washington Street and damaged their vehicle. The highway department was notified to remove the animal.

10:33 a.m.: An officer responded to a one-car crash on Washington Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge the driver with unlicensed operation.

4:19 p.m.: A resident called regarding youths skating on Lake Winthrop.

Sunday, Jan. 6

2:22 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle near the Mobil station on Washington Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge the driver with marked lanes violation and unlicensed operation.

10:59 a.m.: A vehicle was stopped on Central Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge the driver with operating with a suspended license and operating without a valid inspection sticker.

7:54 p.m.: A message was left for the Holliston Highway Department after a mattress was found in the road on Whitney Street.

Monday, Jan. 7

2:51 a.m.: A caller from Concord Street reported hearing possible BB gun shots in his backyard. Officers checked the area but there was no sign of activity.

9:22 a.m.: A caller from Fisher Street reported an attempted break-in.

11:29 a.m.: A caller reported graffiti on a storage building at Pleasure Point.

2:56 p.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash near Green Street. No injuries were reported.

4:29 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle at the center of town for a crosswalk violation. The operator was given a verbal warning.
