Holliston Police Log: Ice Skater Removed From Weston Pond

The following information was provided by the Holliston Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan. 18

11:24 a.m.: An officer escorted a funeral from St. Mary’s Church.

3:25 p.m.: An officer assisted a resident of Cedar Street that returned home to find their front door open. It appeared to be an oversight when the homeowner left.

7:20 p.m.: An officer stood by while a person changed their tire on Highland Street.

8:06 p.m.: Officers responded to a residence on Pearl Street to arrest a resident for the Framingham Police Department. No further information is available.

10:50 p.m.: An officer stopped at Fatima Shrine to check a vehicle in the parking lot. The operator had pulled over to make a phone call.

Saturday, Jan. 19

6:03 a.m.: An officer went to a residence on Washington Street at the request of a probation officer. The person was not home but a message was left with their father.

9:55 a.m.: An officer conducted RADAR speed enforcement on Woodland Street. No stops were conducted.

7:17 p.m.: A caller reported a road rage incident that occurred on Washington Street.

8:42 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of a male in the road on Winthrop Street near Vine Street. The male was transported home.

Sunday, Jan. 20

11:03 a.m.: A caller from Fiske Street reported a tree branch in the electrical wires. An officer checked the area and noted a small branch on the telephone wire that was not a hazard.

12:59 p.m.: An officer assisted with moving a vehicle in to a parking lot after it died in the intersection of Washington and Concord Streets.

9:21 p.m.: An officer put a deer down after it was hit on Prentice Street. The Highway Department was notified to remove the animal.

11:01 p.m.: A caller from the Ashland Police Department reported an erratic driver on Washington Street. A short time later an officer from the Holliston Police Department stopped the vehicle in question on Washington Street. The operator had been eating while driving.

Monday, Jan. 21

10:28 a.m.: Officers responded to a multi-vehicle crash on Woodland Street involving a Holliston Fire Department vehicle.

5:30 p.m.: An officer spoke to a person who was ice skating on Weston Pond. The person was advised to leave the area.

Tuesday, Jan. 22

7:05 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Fiske Street for 90/20. Police are seeking a summons for the operator for 90/23.

8:45 a.m.: An officer responded to a dispute between a mother and her daughter at Dunkin Donuts.

9:45 a.m.: One vehicle was towed after a crash on Washington Street near Temple Beth Torah.

10:13 a.m.: A resident of Mechanic Street reported a missing person. The missing person had been involved in an on-going family dispute and returned home.
