Holliston Police Log: Misplaced Brother, After School Bullies

The following information was provided by the Holliston Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 16

12:04 a.m.: A caller from Jerrold Street reported that a tree tangled in the electric wires was on fire. An officer responded and observed that it was actually a flickering streetlight.

7:27 a.m.: Officers responded to a two-car crash on Woodland Street. No injuries were reported.

7:47 a.m.: An officer responded to a car vs. school bus crash on Sky View Terrace. No injuries were reported. The children were transferred to another bus and transported to school.

9:02 a.m.: A car crashed into a fire hydrant on Ashland Street. The Water Department was notified.

2:39 p.m.: A caller from Holliston Mobil reported that someone damaged the door to the building after being told they could not use the dumpster.

3:09 p.m.: A caller from Summer Street reported a woman who knocked on his door and asked if her brother was there. The same woman was then seen across the street, reportedly looking for her brother. An officer spoke to the woman whose brother had gotten on the wrong bus.

3:52 p.m.: A car crashed into a tree on Highland Street. The driver was uninjured.

Thursday, Jan. 17

12:26 a.m.: An employee of Casey’s Crossing reported a suspicious male walking around in the parking lot. An officer checked the area but the male was not found.

6:29 a.m.: Officers responded to a three-car crash on Washington Street with no injuries.

10:58 a.m.: The Holliston Police Department is seeking a summons to charge a resident with possession of and intent to distribute class D, C (two counts), E (two counts) and B substances. The police department is still investigating the incident.

2:36 p.m.: A crossing guard reported that a group of four kids had punched one kid at the intersection of Church and Grove streets. An officer spoke to a group of kids in the area but they reported not seeing anything.

7:36 p.m.: An officer spoke to four cars full of students at Holliston High School. The youths were told the leave the school grounds unless they were going to the dance.
