Holliston Police Log: One Arrest, Broken Elevator

Thursday, Sept. 13

1:24 a.m.: A caller from Turner Road reported screaming in the apartment below them. An officer responded and spoke to a person who was having a discussion.

5:48 a.m.: An officer checked the intersection of Washington and Highland Street where a tractor-trailer was blocking the roadway.

9:11 a.m.: An officer responded to a car crash at the intersection of Highland and Washington streets. No injuries were reported.

2:01 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Washington Street and issued the operator a summons for a crosswalk violation and unlicensed operation.

3:32 p.m.: Officers responded to a crash outside Holliston Superette.  One vehicle was towed.

4:31 p.m.: Several callers reported teenagers pretending to throw rocks off the bridge on exchange street at cars. The teens said they were working on a school project and were advised to stop.

5:52 p.m.: An officer responded to the same group of youths as the previous incident.

6:07 p.m.: An officer removed the youths from the railroad bed on Exchange Street and spoke with their father at the station.

9:55 p.m.: A resident walked in to the station to report a crash on Concord Street, the resident said their vehicle was hit while it was parked.

Friday, Sept. 14

7:30 a.m.: A caller from Marshall Street reported that a vehicle had struck a dog. The resident took the dog to the vet.

3:18 p.m.: A caller reported a missing special needs student at Adams Middle School. The student was found shortly after.

5:58 p.m.: A caller reported a fraudulent call from someone stating they were with Medicare. The caller was informed to contact their bank and notify them of the incident.

6:11 p.m.: An officer stopped a motorcycle driver on Northway Street and gave the person a verbal warning for operating without a helmet.

7:51 p.m.: A resident of Springdale Circle reported that a political sign was ripped off a subdivision sign, causing damage.

9:09 p.m.: An officer removed a chipmunk from a residence on Cold Spring Road.

Saturday, Sept. 15

12:59 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Washington Street and arrested Sean R. Broderick, 23, of 98 Winthrop St., Medway. Broderick was charged with marked lanes violation and drunken-driving.

3:47 a.m.: An officer checked a Wachusett beer keg in front of a dumpster at Pinecrest Golf Club, the keg was empty.

4:10 a.m.: A caller reported a suspicious vehicle with its lights on outside Holliston Jewelers. The vehicle left before an officer arrived but the building was still checked and found to be secure.

6:56 a.m.: A resident of Cold Spring Road reported a small squirrel in her home. She was put in contact with a critter removal company.

1:26 p.m.: A caller reported illegal dumping on Fisher Street.

1:38 p.m.: An officer responded to a motor vehicle crash on Prentice Street. One of the vehicles involved left the scene.

4:57 p.m.: A caller reported two vehicles at the intersection of Highland Street and Prospect Street that appeared to be drag racing. An officer responded and noted that the vehicles were involved in a car show.

6:17 p.m.: A caller from Central Street reported that two youths had been in his trailer. An officer responded and spoke to the youths.

9:59 p.m.: A caller reported a loud party on Washington Street. The homeowner was spoken with and said they would quiet down.

Sunday, Sept. 16

1:19 a.m.: An officer removed a couple from Stoddard Park.
