Holliston Police: Man Arrested After Assaulting Elderly Person on Fruit Street

The following information was provided by the Holliston Police Department. All arrests are reported. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Tuesday, Aug. 6

10:20 a.m.: An officer took a report of vandalism at Goodwill Park.

5:26 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Highland Street. Police are seeking a summons to charge the driver with failure to stop, unlicensed operation and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.

Wednesday, Aug. 7

6:44 a.m.: An officer conducted traffic enforcement on Ashland Street at the request of a resident. A high speed of 56 miles per hour was recorded. Two vehicles were stopped for speeding.

8:55 a.m.: A school bus was involved in a crash with another vehicle at the intersection of Washington Street and Central street.

2:44 p.m.: Officers responded to a four-car crash on Washington Street. All four operators were hospitalized but none had visible injuries. Police are seeking a summons to charge one driver with operating with an expired license.

10:01 p.m.: An officer spoke to two people fishing in a boat on Lake Winthrop. They were told o leave the park.

10:49 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of an assault on Fruit Street. Patrick D. Wheeler, 56, of 16 Fruit St., Apt. 1, was arrested and charged him with assault and battery of a person over the age of 60.
