Hopkinton Police Log: Neighbor Playing 'Extremely Loud Music Full of Expletives'

Monday, July 1

12:03 a.m.: A caller reported she had seen someone walking around her property on School Street and possibly they went into her basement. She refused to have police respond, however, saying it's private property and she didn't want police on it. An officer drove by and all appeared fine.

8:56 a.m.: An officer reported a car was parked on Main Street with a back window smashed out. The engine was warm but no one was around. The officer checked businesses and found the operator, who was making a delivery to the drug store. He was told to move the vehicle.

10:17 a.m.: Vandalism was reported to a garden behind the school on Ash Street.

12:54 p.m.: A Highway Department employee reported a car crash down the road from where they're working, on West Main Street. An officer responded. On arriving, he found another crash up the street. No injury was reported.

12:57 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported on East Main Street. Firefighters and police responded, as did an ambulance. One person was taken to a hospital in Framingham.

1:19 p.m.: A two-car crash was reported at the intersection of West Main Street. Upton Police responded until Hopkinton was freed up from earlier wrecks. No injury was reported.

2:15 p.m.: A person came in to Hopkinton police headquarters to report credit card fraud.

5:19 p.m.: A caller reported an ongoing problem with a neighbor on Chestnut Street who plays music extremely loud, and filled with expletives. An officer responded and spoke to the person, who was told to turn it down.

5:54 p.m.: A caller reported a car crash on West Elm Street involving a fuel leak. No one was hurt. Two vehicles were towed. 

6:28 p.m.: A multi-colored dog was running in and out of traffic on Cedar Street, creating a traffic hazard. An officer responded but couldn't find the dog.

6:29 p.m.: A caller on Wood Street said a car had been parked on his property for several days. An officer responded and checked the vehicle. The officer contacted the car owner and advised he or she to remove it.

9:23 p.m.: A caller reported a domestic disturbance on the side of West Main Street. Officers responded and arrested two people. Christine L. Manjourides, 19, of 15 East Main St., Hopkinton, is charged with wanton destruction of property more than $250, breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, larceny from a building, larceny over $250 and disorderly conduct. Michael T. Somadelis, 19, of 34 Falcon Ridge Dr., Hopkinton, is charged with breaking and entering in the daytime for a felony, larceny from a building and larceny over $250.

11:08 p.m.: A caller on Priscilla Road said her house and her daughter's boyfriend's truck were egged. This has happened several times before.

Tuesday, July 2

3:52 a.m.: A crash was reported on Pond Street. No injury resulted. The fence was damaged.

12:07 p.m.: Several officers and supervisors responded to Metropolitan Avenue in Ashland for mutual aid to its police department.

1:50 p.m.: Several callers reported possible gun shots or blasting in the area of Clinton Street. A resident flagged down an officer and said she heard shots in the area of the bird sanctuary. Police responded but could not locate the source of the noises.

4:56 p.m.: An officer on detail at EMC took reports of a possibly sick fox in the area.

7:29 p.m.: A resident reported a pit bull was roaming unleashed on Robbern Road. The animal control officer was notified.

7:59 p.m.: A cab company said one of its drivers was in a dispute with a customer over a payment, on Eastview Road. An officer said he would issue a citation to the passenger "for fare evasion as he has no currency."

11:44 p.m.: An officer found a cable box and other electronic devices dumped on Avenue D.
