Hopkinton Police Log: Confused Elderly Woman Arrested for DUI

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction. All arrests are reported.

Monday, Aug. 20

12:29 a.m.: A caller reported a verbal argument between two people and that the male involved had assaulted her. responded and arrested Andrew Robert Castle, 35, of 286 Hayden Rowe St. Clark is charged with assault and battery as well as operating an unregistered and uninsured vehicle.

10:32 a.m.: A caller reported a rug in the road on West Main Street. The responded and removed the rug.

3:44 p.m.: An officer found a large water leak on Elm Street. The on-call Water Department worker was contacted and responded.

5:43 p.m.: A caller reported a raccoon possibly acting strangely in her yard. An officer responded but could not locate the raccoon.

6:28 p.m.: Several 911 callers reported a road-rage related assault on Clinton Street. An officer responded and took a report.

8:53 p.m.: Officers responded to a narcotic violation on West Main Street.

10:41 p.m.: A caller reported that his car alarm and back yard motion light went off on Ralph Road. Officers checked the area but didn’t find anything suspicious.

Tuesday, Aug. 21

1:09 a.m.: A caller from Stone Crossing reported that someone had just rang their doorbell. Officers checked the area but found it to be quiet.

11:19 a.m.: A 911 caller from Grove Street reported a confused patron. Officers responded to and arrested Priscilla S. Jackson, 65, of 230 Bushy Hill Rd., Simsbury Ct. Jackson was charged with drunken-driving.

3:51 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a pit bull / boxer type dog in the road on Wood Street. An officer responded and contacted after the aggressive dog nearly bit a pedestrian.

5:19 p.m.: A 911 caller reported that a vehicle pulled up and hit his vehicle with their door. A license plate number was obtained and an officer responded to view the damage.

5:59 p.m.: An officer arrested Todd A. Anderson, 27, of 17 Cranberry Dr., RI. Anderson had warrant out for charges of unlicensed operation.

6:10 p.m.: Several callers reported a crash on Hayden Rowe Street in which a van went off the road. An ambulance took two people to the hospital and the van was towed.
