Hopkinton Police Log: Domestic Assault Leads to Arrest

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan. 11

12:08 a.m.: An officer assisted the Massachusetts State Police with a traffic stop on Route 495.

2:16 a.m.: A caller from Turnbridge Lane reported a male with dark clothing on in the street who appeared out of place. Officers checked the area but were unable to find the man.

7:07 a.m.: Officers responded to a crash on West Main Street. No injuries were reported.

6:02 p.m.: A 911 caller reported a vehicle driving slowly and erratically on Hayden Rowe Street. An officer from the Hopkinton Police Department was followed the vehicle until they pulled into a driveway and didn’t notice any violations. The operator said they were lost and using a GPS.

Saturday, Jan. 12

9:26 a.m.: A caller reported a loose dog on Hayden Rowe Street. An officer contacted the owner who retrieved their dog.

5:17 p.m.: A 911 caller on Falcon Ridge set off her smoke alarm while cooking. The Fire Department responded and assisted.

10:45 p.m.: A 911 caller from Fruit Street reported that her husband just attempted to choke her. When officers arrived the man had left. Officers from Southborough, Westborough and other surrounding towns were notified of the incident. A judge granted a full restraining order.

Sunday, Jan. 13

1:44 a.m.: Luis Martin, 46, of 38 Cochituate Rd., Wayland was arrested at his home. He was charged with assault and battery following an earlier incident on Fruit Street.

6:29 p.m.: An officer assisted the Fire Department with an investigation on Jordan Road.

9:06 p.m.: A caller reported that a deer ran in to the side of her car on Ash Street. The deer ran in to the woods and the caller finished their drive home to Holliston.

Monday, Jan. 14

8:34 a.m.: Officers responded to a three-car crash on West Main Street. No injuries were reported.

10:55 a.m.: An officer took a report of online harassment regarding a person on South Street.

12:24 p.m.: A caller reported trash dumped on the side of Lincoln Street. The trash had blown away from a neighbor’s house.
