Hopkinton Police Log: Don't Eat Red Snow

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Dec. 31

3:56 p.m.: A caller reported what appeared to be a pool of blood near the DPW on Wood Street. An officer responded and reported that the red stain was hydraulic fluid, not blood.

4:22 p.m.: A caller from Yale Road reported seeing an adult running out of the woods two days in a row. An officer responded but was unable to locate the person.

4:32 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic operator passing vehicles on a no passing section of West Main Street.

5:52 p.m.: An officer discovered an unoccupied disabled vehicle on Main Street. A tow was called to remove the vehicle but before it arrived the owner returned with gasoline.

8:40 p.m.: Several callers reported a West Main Street spinout. The vehicle was towed out of a snow bank and sent along.

10:01 p.m.: A caller from Granite Street reported a vehicle parked on the road with an open door. An officer responded and closed the door.

11:51 a.m.: A caller reported what they believed to be an underage drinking party on Meadowland Drive. Officers responded and spoke with a resident with no problems noted.

Tuesday, Jan. 1

12:30 a.m.: An officer found a vehicle parked on School Street. The vehicle was towed later in the morning.

2:20 a.m.: A caller reported an alarm from a building on Main Street. Upon arrival an officer found smoke and notified the Hopkinton Fire Department.

2:52 p.m.: A resident of Teresa Road went in to the Hopkinton Police Department to report overnight vandalism to their mailbox.

Wednesday, Jan. 2

7:33 a.m.: An officer assisted the Fire Department with a residential fire alarm on Colella Farm Road.

8:01 a.m.: An officer stood by with a disabled vehicle on West Main Street until a tow truck arrived.
