Hopkinton Police Log: Four-Car Crash Near Price Chopper, OUI Arrest

Wednesday, Aug. 21
12:34 a.m.: A caller reported a verbal argument between a man and a woman walking on Walcott Street, near A Street. Police responded and checked the area but could not find them.
5:13 a.m.: A caller reported he had passed parked vehicles on Wedgewood Drive on his way to work, and three to four teens wearing khaki shorts and T-shirts ran off into the trees. Police checked the area and found a large sleepover at a house.
4:31 p.m.: An owner of a business on Main Street, not identified in the police log, reported suspicious, ongoing activity. Police responded and filed a report.
4:45 p.m.: A caller reported an erratic driver on Hayden Rowe Street. Officers responded. Police arrested John J. Boyle, 44, of 12 Morey Way, Milford, on a charge of OUI liquor and failure to yield at an intersection.
Thursday, Aug. 22
8:00 a.m.: A lawn mower at Hopkinton High School caught a rock and threw it and it broke a motor vehicle window on Hayden Rowe Street. The drivers exchanged paperwork.
12:18 p.m.: A dog was left in a running car on Cedar Street. An officer spoke to the owner.
1:18 p.m.: A driver reported his motor vehicle was struck by a rock from an uncovered construction truck.
2:11 p.m.: A four-car crash was reported on West Main Street, in front of Price Chopper. At least one person was injured.
8:29 p.m.: Police received several calls for a car off the road on West Main Street. An officer reported the vehicle had a snapped axle. The vehicle was towed.
