Hopkinton Police Log: Lost Driver, One Arrest

The following information was provided by the Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, Jan. 9

8:15 a.m.: Officers assisted the Ashland Police Department with a search in the Pleasant Street area.

11:04 a.m.: The Hopkinton Fire Department received two calls for the smell of natural gas, one from East Main Street the other from West Main Street. An officer responded to both and the reports were unfounded.

11:23 a.m.: An officer checked with an ice fisherman at Hopkinton State Park.

5:55 p.m.: A caller from Wedgewood Drive reported that his house alarm and there was an unknown vehicle in the driveway with someone leaving. Officers responded but could not find the vehicle.

9:50 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on East Main Street and arrested Candice N. Blackmore, 22, of 86 East Main St., Milford. Blackmore was charged with marked lanes violation and second offense drunken-driving.

Thursday, Jan. 10

4:34 a.m.: A caller reported that he struck a tree in the roadway but wasn’t sure of his location. An officer responded and found the man on Chestnut Street near Gibbon Road.

1:22 p.m.: A minor car crash with no injuries was reported on South Street.

2:35 p.m.: An officer assisted a disabled motorist on West Main Street who was out of gas.

5:58 p.m.: An officer assisted with a minor crash on South Street.

9:58 p.m.: An officer assisted the Ashland Police Department with a traffic stop on Cross Street.
