Hopkinton Police Log: Three Mailboxes Vandalized, Two Arrests

The following information was provided by the Hopkinton Police Department. Charges do not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, Jan. 17

5:40 a.m.: A caller from Cedar Street reported that her vehicle was disabled but AAA was unable to find her. An officer responded and was able to find her and provide directions for AAA.

3:03 p.m.: An officer responded to a car crash on Hayden Rowe Street. No injuries were reported.

3:38 p.m.: An officer assisted a tractor-trailer backing into a main intersection on South Street.

5:54 p.m.: Officers from the Hopkinton Police Department responded to a domestic argument on Falcon Ridge. Both people involved were spoken to after a verbal disagreement.

Friday, Jan. 18

10:48 a.m.: Officers assisted the Hopkinton Fire Department with a smoke alarm at Hopkinton Middle School .

3:44 p.m.: A bicyclist was hit by a vehicle on Winter Street. The bicyclist was uninjured and transported home by an officer.

4:05 p.m.: An officer notified the Highway Department of icy conditions on Frankland Road.

5:22 p.m.: A caller reported a minor hit and run on Main Street. The caller was not involved but was able to attain the license plate of the vehicle that fled. Officers checked the vehicle but did not observe any damage and could not find a victim vehicle.

5:18 p.m.: A caller reported children on the possibly unsafe ice on West Main Street. When an officer responded the children were not there.

Saturday, Jan. 19

11:03 a.m.: A resident of Huckleberry Road reported that her mailbox was vandalized overnight.

1:10 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on Hayden Rowe Street and arrested William Isaccson, 47, of 16 Riverview Dr., Ashland. Isaccson was charged with operating with a suspended license and operating with an expired inspection. There was also a warrant for Isaccson for larceny.

2:20 p.m.: A caller reported ATVs operating on the town’s Fruit Street property. An officer responded and spoke to the operator.

4:24 p.m.: An officer responded to a report of an erratic vehicle on Hayden Rowe Street. The officer stopped the vehicle and spoke with the driver.

9:17 p.m.: A caller reported the use of power tools in a business on West Main Street. An officer responded and spoke with workers who were finishing up for the night.

9:22 p.m.: A caller from North Street reported a past break-in.

10:38 p.m.: An officer gave a person a ride to the Southborough commuter rail station after finding them at a gas station on West Main Street.

11:24 p.m.: A caller from North Street reported a possible intruder inside their house. Officers responded but the report was unfounded.

Sunday, Jan. 20

12:50 a.m.: An officer responded to a stove fire on Pleasant Street.

2:00 a.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on West Main Street and arrested Alexandra Trombley, 22, of 11 Thayer Heights Rd. Trombley had warrants for marked lanes violation and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.

9:54 a.m.: A resident of Hayden Rowe Street reported a possible motor vehicle break-in.

12:36 p.m.: An officer responded to tree that had fallen across Old Farm Road.

12:47 p.m.: A tree fell across Loop Road at the Hopkins School . The DPW responded to remove the tree.

1:34 p.m.: A caller reported that her large dog was injured in Hopkinton State Park and she requested assistance so she could drive to the dog.

1:53 p.m.: A horse rider reported a tree that had fallen and taken down electrical wire on Piazza Lane. NStar was notified that the wires were arcing and the tree was smoldering.

7:57 p.m.: A caller reported a vehicle doing donuts in a parking lot on Church Street. A second call reporting donuts in the same parking lot came in at 9:48 p.m.

10:55 p.m.: A resident stopped an officer at a gas station to report a mailbox had been smashed on Glen Road. The officer responded and observed that the vehicle was knocked over.

Monday, Jan. 21

12:49 p.m.: An officer pulled a dead deer to the side of the road on Cedar Street.

10:03 p.m.: A caller reported a male harassing two girls in front of Hopkinton Drug . The people involved were gone when an officer arrived.

10:53 a.m.: A resident of Blueberry Lane reported overnight mailbox vandalism.

2:06 p.m.: A resident of Elizabeth Road reported overnight mailbox vandalism.

2:51 p.m.: An officer spoke with residents on the ice on West Main Street.
