Hopkinton Police: Mailboxes Vandalized on Pond Street, Argument on Lumber Street

The following information was supplied by the Hopkinton Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Monday, Aug. 19

4:54 a.m.: State Police reported a vehicle off the road on the Mass Pike east bound ramp at I-495. No injury was reported.

7:21 a.m.: A caller reported a two-car crash on South Street. No one was injured. The highway department reported for debris in the road.

9:29 a.m.: A caller reported an apparent domestic in the road on Lumber Street. A man and a woman were arguing. Police arrived but the people had left.

2:56 p.m.: A caller said her neighbor on Chestnut Street was threatening her. Police spoke to both people.

5:29 p.m.: A caller said a man was walking down Lakeshore Drive with a book in his hands, looking at houses. Police checked the area but could not find him.

8:28 p.m.: A woman on Priscilla Road said kids were prowling in her yard.

11:55 p.m.: A caller reported a domestic between her brother and mother. Police determined it was an argument only. The brother left for the night.

Tuesday, Aug. 20

4:51 a.m.: A caller said her 18-year-old daughter was home alone and awoken by the dog barking. She asked for the back yard to be checked. Police did and everything was OK.

9:54 a.m.: Three callers on Pond Street said their mailboxes were vandalized. An officer responded and inspected the damage.

9:55 p.m.: An officer checked on an employee of Weston Nursery who was working late.

10:22 p.m.: Ashland Police asked for assistance in finding a runaway teen from that community, whose cell phone indicated he or she was in Hopkinton.
