Hopkinton Police: Waterfowl Foul Up Traffic

Tuesday, July 23

1:38 p.m.: A caller from East Main Street reported that her daughter stole money from her. Officers responded and arrested Christine L. Manjourides, 19, of 15 East Main Street and charged her with two counts of assault and battery and one count of larceny under $250.

5:35 p.m.: Several callers reported a family of waterfowl causing a traffic problem on West Main Street. An officer responded but the traffic had cleared up.

6:14 p.m.: An officer stopped a vehicle on West Main Street and arrested Cody Boswell, 21, of 8 Sand Beach Rd., Westford. Boswell was charged with operating with a suspended registration, operating an uninsured motor vehicle and operating a vehicle without an inspection sticker.

10:47 p.m.: An officer checked on a motor vehicle parked at the Center School. The vehicle belonged to a male and female on the swings. They were sent on their way.

11:34 p.m.: A person reported two people carrying bags at the gazebo on the Town Common. An officer responded and spoke to the couple. They were having ice cream.

Wednesday, July 24

2:36 a.m.: An officer spoke with a group of people at a party on Rocky Woods Road.

8:26 a.m.:  A caller from Huckleberry Road reported that three mailboxes on the street had been vandalized.

6:17 p.m.: A 911 caller reported two suspicious people in the woods on Norcross Road.
