UPDATED: Man Dies in Crash on Hayden Rowe St. in Hopkinton

The crash was reported about 10 p.m. Saturday


UPDATED: A man died in a single-car crash late Saturday on Hayden Rowe Street in Hopkinton, police said, after he struck a mail box.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation Monday morning, said Police Chief Charles Wallace. The man's identity was not released.

The driver was taken to Milford Regional Medical Center, where he was pronounced deceased. The single-car crash was reported about 10 p.m., Wallace said.

An initial scanner report misidentified the type of vehicle involved. The man was not on a motorcycle.

Hopkinton Police on Saturday night responded to a crash on Hayden Rowe Street involving a motorcycle.

The motorcyclist was seriously injured, according to an initial scanner report, and CPR was in progress.

The call was reported about 10:30 p.m., near 157 Hayden Rowe St.
