Sunday evening as the snow was falling across Holliston, a caller reported that their car had been stolen from the Holliston High School Parking lot.
According to police reports the car, registered to a New Hampshire resident, was missing for several hours before it was recovered.
Initial reports indicate that the thief stole the car from the lot and headed down Hollis Street where debris from the car was found littering the road.
Officers from the Holliston Police Department informed neighboring communities to be on the lookout for the car. They also contacted the New Hampshire State Police to report the car missing.
Several hours later while an employee of the Highway Department was working at the Town Hall, a vehicle matching the description was seen parked in the lot.
An officer responded and confirmed that the car at Town Hall was indeed the stolen car, and with the help of a tow truck from Nick's Garage was able to secure the car and move it to the station.
At this time police have no suspects in the case and the investigation is on going.
