Police Log: Resident Targeted by Lottery Scam

The following information was supplied by the Holliston police department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Dec. 1

1:03 A High Street resident reported a low-flying aircraft. Officers concluded there were no high-flying aircraft in the area. 

1:32 a.m.: An employee on Fiske street reported an unwanted guest at his location. Police requested an ambulance for evaluation but the guest refused treatment.

10:44 a.m.: A resident on Pinecrest Road reported being targeted for a lottery scam. A caller offered the resident a $250,000 winning lottery ticket for a $350 fee. The resident said he was not interested but the caller said he would show up anyway. The caller did not show up.
