Police Log: Silly String Incident, Suspicious Person in Hoodie

Monday, April 30
12:35 a.m.: An officer checked a vehicle parked on Hayward Street.
6:54 a.m.: A person called the to report that a male wearing a hoodie was dropped off on Cunningham Street. The male was using bushes as concealment as he walked down the street. An officer checked the area but was unable to locate anyone.

7:29 a.m.: A caller reported a tree partially blocking Frankland Road. A DPW worker responded and removed the tree.
8:46 a.m.: A person went in to the station to report a visibility hazard at the intersection of Wild Road and Chestnut Street. The person reported that a truck for sale was blocking the line of site. An officer contacted the owner who said he would move the truck.

1:24 p.m.: A caller from South Street reported receiving a threatening text message.
5:59 p.m.: An officer from the Ashland Police Department reported that a vehicle just sprayed another vehicle with silly string. The spraying vehicle was headed toward Hopkinton on East Main Street. An officer caught up with the vehicle and spoke with them.
7:04 p.m.: Several callers reported a disabled motor vehicle on West Main Street. An officer responded and assisted with traffic.
7:25 p.m.: A caller from Wood Street reported heavy equipment being operated in violation of the town’s bylaws. An officer checked the area and found no violations.
