Police: Gun Store Robbed Over Weekend

Holliston Firearms was robbed early Saturday morning.

When the owner of Holliston Firearms went to the business on Saturday morning he noticed that something was amiss and the business was not in the same shape he left it.

After calling the Holliston Police Department to report the break-in, officers determined that merchandise had been stolen during the forced entry.

According to a press release from the department, Massachusetts State Police Crime Scene Services responded to gather forensic evidence and assist the Holliston detectives with their investigation.

"Any release of what has been collected would be premature at this time," Chief John Moore said in the release. "We will continue to assemble all relevant evidence, leads are being developed and followed up on."

According to the chief, there are no suspects in the case at this time.

The department has not released information about what type or how many firearms had been stolen from the business; but Moore did say there was a larceny during the break-in.

The business was federally licensed and up to date with all records and inspections according to Moore.

"My hope is that this gets solved and that whatever was stolen gets returned," Moore said.

More information will be posted as it is released from the police department.
