Casino Information Efforts Continue

The Hopkinton selectmen continue to look into the proposed Foxwoods Casino.

Efforts to get as much information as possible on the casino process continue with an executive session of the Hopkinton Board of Selectmen Tuesday.

The agenda lists the discussion as being relevant to the public records requests to the Massachusetts Gaming Commission by the town of Hopkinton. The non-public meeting of the board is allowed under Massachusetts law because litigation will be discussed, public knowledge of which might be detrimental to the board's effectiveness.

The meeting is part of an ongoing effort by the town to get as much information about the casino process and communication about it made public as possible. All the information that the town has gathered is available on the town's website.

Among recent casino news is Milford Regional seeking $5 million for impacts on the ER from a potential casino.
