First Sign of Casino Protest

A Rockland St. resident has made his opinion on the proposed Milford casino clear.

Rockland Street resident David Bastille has made and posted a lawn sign making clear his opposition to the possibility of a casino being built in Milford.

The proposed casino site is just over the town line in Milford, at the junction of Route 16 and Interstate 495.

The state Senate began debating a bill this week that would authorize three resort casino licenses in various regions of the state. The house of representiatives have already approved the bill and Gov. Deval Patrick is on record as supporting the proposal, which proponents say will generate thousands of construction and permanent jobs.
