Hopkinton Selectmen Have Full Agenda Tonight

Selectmen will first meet in executive session at 6 p.m.

The Hopkinton Board of Selectmen will meet tonight, Jan. 7, at 6:30 p.m. to discuss the following agenda items: 

  • Public forum at 6:30 p.m.
  • Accepting a gift for Hopkinton Ambulance Fund
  • Accepting minutes
  • Discuss Marathon numbers given to the town police department
  • Hear a brief presentation regarding wellness at the high school
  • Act on a Class II license application from WSAB Enterprises 
  • Consider an agreement with residents of Penny Meadow Lane regarding plowing the private common driveway
  • Hear a brief update on the library project
  • Hear estimates regarding the town's increased population
  • Hear liaison reports
  • Hear Town Manager's report which will include information on the police chief search and the hours for Zio Quattro and Bison Burger's hours of operation.

Selectmen will meet in Executive Session at 6 p.m. to:
  • Consider approving executive session minutes: 12/17/13
  • Discuss the deployment of security personnel or devices, or strategies with respect to emergency communications and the 2014 Boston Marathon;
  • Discuss strategies with respect to collective bargaining updates by the Town Manager, because an open meeting may have detrimental effects on the bargaining positions of the Board;
  • Discuss considering the purchase, exchange, lease or value of real property in regards to a property on Lumber Street, Main Street and Ash Street, because an open meeting may have a detrimental effect on the negotiating position of the Board;
  • Review Assessment Center test for Police Chief applicants with Public Safety Consultants, LLC and the Town of Hopkinton’s Police Chief Search Committee, because an open meeting may have a detrimental effect in obtaining qualified applicants.
