Hopkinton Student Receives Scholarship

The Hanover Insurance Group Foundation, Inc. announced on June 4, that it had awarded 38 scholarships to local, public high school students and children of employees of The Hanover Insurance Group.

This year, The Hanover awarded  51 scholarships nationwide, for a total $73,500. Over the past ten years, the company has provided $540,000 in scholarships to students who have excelled academically, while demonstrating leadership and a commitment to community service.

"Our scholarship program a reflection of our commitment to our local schools and the families in our communities, including our dedicated employees’ families," said Frederick H. Eppinger, president and chief executive officer of The Hanover. "We hope that our scholarships encourage students to reach for excellence in college and in their careers, and to apply their energy and talents to help our communities grow stronger and more vibrant."
