Framingham State Men's Cross-Country Finishes 8th in Conference Championships

Rookie Adam Meltzer of Holliston shaved off nearly 51 seconds off his Western New England Invitational time to cross the finish line 140th/73rd (34:08.06).

The Framingham State men’s cross country team finished 15th in the New England Alliance Championship and eighth in the Massachusetts State Collegiate Athletic Conference (MASCAC) Championship meet at Southern Maine on Saturday.

Westfield State won MASCAC title with 18 points as the Rams were eighth (223).

Senior Chris Baza of Milford raced home 106th overall and 55th amongst MASCAC competition with a time of 31:01.22. 

Freshman Dan Stevens of Holliston was three runners behind in the conference portion of the meet in 58th and was 113th in the Alliance as he turned in a 31:47.21.

Sophomores Kyle Gagin was 156th/84th (38:05.99) while Thomas Rainsford (of Holliston was 158th/85th (38:12.47) and Patrick Holden clocked a 44:41.72 for 161st/88th.

The Rams head to Colt State Park in Bristol, R.I. on Saturday for the Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Division III Championship meet hosted by Roger Williams.
