After taking the lead in the fourth quarter, Dennis-Yarmouth Regional (South Yarmouth, Mass.) held on for a 26-7 victory over Holliston (Mass.) on Saturday. The difference for the Dolphins was that they ran for a touchdown.
The Dolphins led 7-0 at halftime, but the Panthers regained the lead on a touchdown with 2:00 left in the third. Dennis-Yarmouth Regional grabbed hold of the lead when they ran for a touchdown with 4:00 left in the fourth quarter, and never relinquished it.
The loss snapped Holliston's four-game winning streak, according to MaxPreps.
Holliston's only touchdown came on a 9-yard run by Joe Bellomo in the third quarter.
DYR went into the matchup giving up only 16.6 points per game. Holliston's seven points were well below its season average of 39.2 per game.
