I have lived in town for 40yrs. When my husband and I moved here , Ed Cornell was running the business. " Skip " was a regular at Cornells and knew the entire Cornell family well, as did I. We spent many pleasant hours at Cornells and came to know many wonderful people. Many of those people, including Skip are gone now. Every meeting place and business where alcohol is served is plagued by a few troublemakers. Kudos to the bartender for refusing to serve. The bartender may have saved a life. Miss you all Rob, much love, Pat

My friends and I were called derogatory names here. When we confronted the bigots, staff kicked us out!!! What decade are we in?? When will this stop?
This place has staff that are prejudice. If you are not from this area, you will get stared at. We had an after party there and many of us were from out of town. Not only was one person denied service (even though a lot of people had out of state licenses) but the owner came out and called him a scumbag for taking a sip of someone's beer and then called the police on him. The person denied service was harmless AND of age... just trying to relax after coming out to see a game. This place has really given your town a bad name.
It's like my own little "Cheers". The food is great and the prices, well, you can't beat them. It's not the prettiest place in town, but, I'm ok with that.

So "Jane Smith" Your friend gets denied service and THEN drinks from someone else's glass?? You do realize that your friend was breaking the law. It's not that he wasn't of legal age, it's ILLEGAL to obtain alcohol that way. Rob (and now the new owners) have a license to serve alcohol, and part of their responsibility is to see that people drink sensibly. It does not sound like your friend was being very sensible at all, and these accusations are not very fair either. My family and I have had many great meals at Cornells, and no, we're not "regulars", they've treated us nicely since our first visit (and everytime since).
