Steer clear of Hometown Auto in Holliston. Our tow guy dropped off our truck accidentally at their shop, not our's, which is located directly behind them. Rather than call us to confirm the tow and work to be done, Hometown went ahead and did the work they deemed necessary and then charged us a very inflated price. The mix up was discovered after we called our garage because we hadn't heard from them. Hometown claimed the tow guy gave them an incorrect number. They also said they completed the work because we had done business with them 2 or 3 years ago and we were in their "system." [We never went back after the first time because they pulled the same business on us back then.] Apparently, our address and name is in their system, but not our numbers. Really?

Jenn, I'm sorry to hear your experience with us at Hometown Automotive was not been positive. However, after your truck was dropped off by the tow company your truck sat in our lot for four days without any contact from you. The driver of the tow truck did say that you asked your truck to be dropped off at our shop specifically and unfortunately the phone number he gave us was incorrect. Having previously fixed your brake lines in the past, your name and address was already in our system. So after four days of having your truck in our lot, which was unable to be moved or driven, we then fixed your brake lines. When you finally called the shop behind us and we realized that you had not intended for Hometown Automotive to fix your truck, we then offered to remove the work we had done at no cost to you. When you declined, the price you were given was anything but inflated, in fact it will either meet our beat that of any other shop in the area. We do our best to maintain a positive working relationship with our customers and our neighbors, and would never intentionally take business from anyone.
