The U.S. Attorney's office alleges that DEX Corporation, a shipping company in Natick, was a front for a drug trafficking operation.
Fifteen men were arrested yesterday morning and charged with conspiracy to distribute Oxycodone in connection with an alleged MetroWest drug trafficking ring headquartered in Natick. “With these arrests today we hope to send a strong message that trafficking and distributing prescription pain medication will not be tolerated and we will utilize the full breadth of our law enforcement resources to bare," Special Agent in Charge John J. Hopkinton-based EMC is planning to cut more than 1,000 jobs in an effort to streamline the company’s focus and workforce according to a recent article in the Boston Globe. The current restructuring is part of a longstanding practice by EMC to continually retool its workforce and business focus, spokeswoman Lesley Ogrodnick told the Globe. “As EMC has been transforming our business, we have had ongoing rebalancing efforts,” she said. Although it's not all bad news according to Orgodnick, the Globe reports she said the company will end the year with more employees than they had at the beginning of the year.

The Holliston Police Department have responded to 5 break-ins in the past two weeks.
Holliston residents have been experiencing an uptick in break-ins recently, and according to Holliston Police Chief John Moore, the town isn't isolated. "People think these break-ins are happening just in Holliston, but they're all over," Moore said. "Natick has had a lot, Medway, Hopkinton had a few and Wayland has had a handful." The break-ins, which happen mostly during the day, have occurred all over town. Police have responded to break-ins on Forest Park Drive, Timber Ledge, Cedar Street, Fiske Street and Pine Oak Street in the past two weeks.
